Mission and Vision
Mission:
Deuces Live Main Street, Inc. was formed to organize and assist in the revitalization of the historic 22nd Street corridor in St. Petersburg, Florida while preserving its Heritage.
Vision: Stimulate and restore viability to the 22nd Street South corridor (The Deuces) by encouraging cooperation and building leadership in the business community; creating a positive image for the 22nd Street South corridor by promoting “The Deuces” as an exciting place to live, shop, conduct commerce and invest; improving the appearance of “The Deuces” through education, restoration and preservation; providing educational and other services to strengthen and expand the economic base of “The Deuces”; creating activities to promote a collective positive relationship of diverse citizens in the city.
The Main Street Approach
Deuces Live, Inc. operates on the same 4-Point Approach as the National Main Street Association.

Organization: everyone working towards the same goal and assembling the appropriate human and financial resources to implement a Main Street Revitalization Program

Promotion: sell a positive image of the commercial district and encourage consumers and investors to live, work, shop, play and invest in the Main Street district.

Design: getting Main Street into top physical shape. An inviting atmosphere, created through attractive windows displays, building improvements and landscaping, conveys a vibrant and successful business community.

Economic Revitalization: Strengthen a community's existing economic assets while expanding and diversifying its economic base.
Purpose
Deuces Live is non-profit organization aimed to create an atmosphere within the historic 22nd Street South District that both stimulates new growth and enhances the current commercial/residential population.
Deuces Live believes that in the rehabilitation of the historic 22nd Street South District will not only promote economic development, but instill a sense of pride and place among the citizens of the community.
DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
NEA Grant – Art Explosion on the Deuces!
The Deuces Live is honored to be a 2020 recipient of an “Our Town” grant through the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). Learn more.
Deuces Live is seeking an artist to design permanent, outdoor artwork to be installed along the historic 22nd Street South corridor. Call to Artists – Request for Qualifications
The City of St. Petersburg has also applied for a construction award of $1 million for the 22nd Street South Complete Streets project AND it’s been approved. Learn more

The Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum will have a new 22nd Street location on 5.3 acres of land in Commerce Park. Click “Deuces Rising” to learn more about the vision.
Responses to the Trop Site RFP are now available online at stpete.org/trop. A public comment is also available for those who would like to submit their thoughts to the Economic Development team.
For years, St. Petersburg Commerce Park LLC has had the right to build atop the land and promised jobs but nothing has materialized. St. Petersburg City Council on Thursday agreed to sell a portion of the 13-acre lot for a market value of $1.025 million to St. Petersburg Commerce Park LLC. Read more
